Jaume Bosser was born into a musical family in a village in Catalunya (Spain); from a very young age, he has played many different kinds of music.

He began his viola bachelor's studies at ESMUC under the tutelage of Jonathan Brown, and later with Anna Puig. Throughout his studies, he has played in many orchestras such as the Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya (JONC), the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallés, the Neues Orchester Basel, and the Camerata Casals (playing alongside Cristina Cordero), and has played in projects conducted by Jordi Savall, Luca Gugliemi, Lorenzo Coppola, Jordi Pons, Jordi Mora, and many others.

As a chamber musician, he has played in many ensembles a great variety of repertoire, going from Renaissance music to new releases, and has been influenced by teachers like Kennedy Moretti, Alba Roca, Albert Gumí, Quartet Casals, Rosalía Gómez, Erica Wise, Cristina Esclapez, Lorenzo Coppola, and many others. He plays contemporary repertoire with gut strings and is very interested in the historically informed performance proposals for 19th century music.
