Annika Boras
Annika Boras is a German-Italian flutist. Born in Dachau in 2000, she left Germany at the age of two and grew up in Lecco, Italy, where she began learning the flute at the age of seven. From 2014 to 2019, she studied at the musical high school in her hometown and deepened her studies by attending
the educational project "Dentro il Suono" by Giampaolo Pretto in Verona. In January 2020, she passed the audition for the conservatory in Trossingen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany) and started her Bachelor of Music in flute with Julie Stewart-Lafin until she transferred to the University of Music in Nürnberg (Bavaria, Germany) in October 2021 to study with Henrik Wiese and Timea Acsai.
Annika collaborates regularly with several orchestras in Germany, such as the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, Ensemble Moderne, Deutsche Radio Kammerorchester, Camerata Franconia, and Sueddeutsche Philharmonie Esslingen. She is an intern with the Augsburger Philharmoniker and a member of the Junge Norddeutsche Philharmonie and the Junge Philharmonische Orchester Niedersachsen.
As a soloist, Annika has performed twice with the Bad Reichenhaller Philarmoniker at the invitation of the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor. In summer 2021, she and Swiss harpist Anna Gander won the audition to perform the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto KV 299 with the Master Orchestra in Brescia, Italy. Since October 2021, she has been continuously invited to several events organized by the Italian flute association "Falaut."
