Beatriz Rola

Beatriz Rola is a Portuguese violinist who focuses her artistic practice in performance, creation  and  collaboration.  She  studied  at  the  Royal  Academy  of Music  where  she  graduated  with  a  Bachelors of Music. With the intention to broaden her artistic practice she continued to study  on  the  Leadership  course at the Guildhall School  of Music and Drama where  she  completed  her Masters Degree. Beatriz has a continued interest in playing and creating new music with various  ensembles  such  as;  aquilo  que  vocês  quiserem,  entre  cantos, Levitation  Orchestra,  (Im)Possibilities.  She  focuses  her  work  on  collaboration having  developed  work  with  performance artist Da Hye Yang performing at Harvard Medical School, The Charterhouse, The  Barbican,  Tate  Modern.  She  is also  part  of  improvisatory  trio  Kalea,  who  has  performed  at the British  Library and  Keats  house  Rome  and  London.  Alongside  this  she  works  as  a  violin teacher  and  as  a  facilitator  with;  Casa  da  Musica  devising  musical performances  for  young  audiences, “A Minha Companhia de Ópera”; making new music with children, Family Orchestra  in “Orquestra de Jazz de Matosinhos”; devising new work within the community.
