Barbara Massaro

Born in 1994, Barbara Massaro graduated in Viola with Pietro Mianiti and in Singing under the guidance of Silvana Manga with full marks, honors and honorable mention at the "G. Verdi ”in Milan.
She is the winner of the 67th AsLico Competition for the role of Despina (Cosi fan tutte - Teatri del Circuito Lombardo) she then performs in the roles of the Princess (La bella dormente - Cagliari Opera House), Driade (Bacchanals) and Aurelia (Le donne vendicate) both for the Valle d'Itria Festival, Adina (L'elisir d'amore - at the Coccia Theater in Novara ) Nannetta (Falstaff - Liverpool Philharmonic Hall), Frasquita (Carmen - Arena di Verona), Berenice (L'occasione fa il ladro - Tiroler Festspiele Erl), Zerlina and Lauretta (Don Giovanni and Gianni Schicchi - Verona Philharmonic Theater), Tebaldo (Don Carlo - Teatro la Fenice), Jemmy (Guglielmo Tell - Theaters of the Lombard Circuit and Verdi Theater in Pisa).
Recordings: Driade in Bacchanals for Dynamic (2016) and Tebaldo for the cd "Anita", Sony Classical (2018),  soloist for the previously unreleased works Innocente Verginella and New Mass for Festive Solemnity by L. Capotorti for Digression Music (2020)
She collaborates with conductors such as: D. Renzetti, G. Capuano, F. Ciampa, A. Cadario, M. Beltrami, V. Petrenko, G. Sagripanti, C. Goldstein, S. Quatrini, Chung Myung-Whun; and directors L. Muscato, G. Aliverta, H. de Ana, F. Micheli, V. Borrelli, R. Carsen, A. Bernard.
