Matteo Sugan

Pianist, poet and composer, Matteo Sugan began studying piano at the age of seven, and completed his studies at the Conservatoire "G. Verdi" in Como, where he graduated in piano and composition. He also graduated in Media Languages ​​from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
Over the years he receives prizes in piano competitions such as the "Carlo Vidusso" in Milan, the "Music Competition for Young Pianists" in Lissone, the "Valsesia Musica juniores" in Varallo; awarded also in poetry competitions, he obtains the publication of his works in the series by the artistic directors E. Pecora and I. Pozzini, and organizes some art and poetry exhibitions in the towns of the Como area; he also won the Farulli Prize 2018 with the composition of a string quartet entitled "AMARI's",  performed then for the first time during the week of  String City in Florence and then by the musicians of the mdi ensemble.
He has participated in courses and performances in various cities of Italy, as well as in Spain, Romania, Latvia and the Czech Republic, where he performs as a soloist with orchestra in Mariánské Lázně and at the Senate Palace of Prague; in 2011 he undertakes a songwriting study trip to the United States.
He is Professor of Music at the San Vincenzo Institute of Erba and Albese con Cassano.
